Service Description

Group art therapy encourages a personal exploration of yourself in relation to others. Our groups integrate artistic expression in a way that permits a deeper exploration of the topic at hand. Groups usually consist of 4-10 adults, and are offered a variety of topics including depression management, emotional regulation, anxiety-relief, anger management, self-forgiveness, overcoming shame and guilt, developing compassion for self, and reclaiming your sense of self. Here we focus on your strengths, and it is a safe and supportive environment to meet others going through the same struggles. I assist you to explore you feelings through both verbal and non-verbal means, to understand old patterns and beliefs that inform you how to live your life, to make changes more effectively, and lead you on a path to resolve the problems causing you distress. Here we examine what depression is here to teach us, and not as an illness controlling or defining who we are, but to regain mastery of control in our lives and find meaning.
